The Ocean’s Secret

“The Ocean’s Secret”  is an original musical, inspired by the beloved characters of “The Little Mermaid”, reimagined in a bold and imaginative new story.

When a young mermaid uncovers a long-hidden truth about her past, she is drawn into a journey that challenges everything she knows about her family, her world, and herself.

 

As the balance of the sea is threatened and deception begins to surface, she must decide where she truly belongs and whether she is ready to step into her own strength.

Through powerful music, dynamic choreography, and unforgettable characters, the story explores identity, love, and the courage it takes to protect what matters most.

ALEXA MICHAEL

ARIEL

Alexa Michael steps into the role of Ariel with the kind of fire that makes waves rise higher. Having earned her Grade 8 in Musical Theatre with Distinction and currently completing her Diploma in Pop Music, Alexa combines refined technique with a modern artistic voice, shaping a heroine who feels both timeless and strikingly current. Beyond the stage, she is a rising singer- songwriter whose honest lyrics and emotionally rich sound celebrate strength, vulnerability and fearless self expression.

SEMELI LAZAROU

SEBASTIAN

Semeli Lazarou is no stranger to the professional musical theatre stage. She has appeared in several productions, including «Το Παιδί και το Δέντρο» and she was casted as ‘Tomika‘ for the famous musical ‘School of Rock’ at the Madach Theatre in Budapest, Hungary! With her Grade 8 in Musical Theatre, with Distinction, Semeli blends technical excellence with effortless charisma.

Her role as Sebastian? Sharp, warm, and rhythmically unstoppable!!!

MARCOS NICOLAS MARTINEZ KOUMAS

SCUTTLE

Marcos Martinez Koumas brings Scuttle to life with fearless physicality and vibrant humour. His high energy, quick instincts, and natural stage presence make him impossible to ignore, often stealing the spotlight without even trying.

Last year, Marcos impressed audiences as Marlin, Geppetto, and Young Jack in our production. A true triple-threat performer, he excels in dance, acting, and singing. Beyond the stage, Marcos is also a skilled musician who plays piano and guitar and is currently developing his craft through music production studies!

ELENA HADJIGEORGIOU

MOTHER

Elena Hadjigeorgiou brings heartfelt sincerity to the role of Mother, portraying both strength and tenderness with ease. Her performance carries a gentle emotional warmth that draws the audience in and supports the story beautifully.

A student at Potenzia Del Arte since the age of seven, Elena has truly grown up within the Potenzia family. She has participated in all of our musical theatre productions and is also one of our cherished helpers during Potenzia’s Summer School, consistently showing dedication, kindness, and natural leadership.

Her commitment and talent have earned her opportunities to take part in external professional events, a testament to both her reliability and artistic growth.

BETTY ELIOPOULOU

URSULA

Betty Eliopoulou steps into the role of Ursula with bold energy and commanding stage presence. With sharp character choices and confident delivery, she brings this iconic villain to life in a way that is both captivating and memorable.

A member of the Potenzia Del Arte family since the age of 3, Betty has developed into a versatile and disciplined performer. She holds Grade 8 in Ballet and a Gold ISTD certification in Modern Jazz Dance, reflecting her strong technical foundation in dance.

Her achievements include a first place in Modern Jazz Seniors at UDO Encore Cyprus as part of a group, as well as first place at the Middle East competition in 2025, accomplishments that highlight her dedication and competitive excellence.

Alongside dance, Betty trains in acting, singing, and musical theatre, continually expanding her performance skills. Playing Ursula has always been one of her dreams, making this role a particularly special milestone for her.

FLOUNDER

Noelia Theodoulou brings warmth and loyalty to the role of Flounder, creating a character that feels like sunshine beneath the sea. Her performance is playful, sincere, and full of brightness, capturing Flounder’s lovable spirit.

She impressed us at her audition with her natural charm and quick wit, and it was immediately clear we had found our Flounder. Noelia is dedicated and hardworking, always approaching her training and rehearsals with enthusiasm.

She studies singing, musical theatre, hip-hop, and tap, continuing to grow as a well-rounded performer.

MARIA ELENI NEOCLEOUS

CARLOTTA

Maria Eleni Neocleous brings elegance and wit to the role of Carlotta. With excellent timing and a confident stage presence, she adds sparkle and personality to every palace scene.

A student at Potenzia Del Arte since the age of 3, Maria Eleni has truly grown up within the Potenzia family. She has participated in all of our previous musical theatre productions  consistently showing dedication, real teamwork, and natural leadership.

She trains in singing, musical theatre, commercial jazz, hip-hop, contemporary and ballet making her a truly versatile young performer. She performs comfortably in Greek, English, and French, demonstrating strong musicality and expressive versatility.

Her commitment and talent have led to opportunities to take part in external professional events, a testament to both her reliability and artistic growth. Although young, she carries a maturity and focus that suit the role beautifully.

SOTIA KOUKOU

EEL

Slippery, sneaky, and just a little dramatic, Sotia Koukou brings electric energy and sharp comedic timing to the role of the Eel. With expressive movement and playful flair, she turns every slither into a moment of chaos and comedy that delights the audience.

A highly dedicated performer, Sotia has taken on many leading and featured roles throughout her years at Potenzia Del Arte, including the role of the ‘Magic Carpet’ in ‘Arabian Nights’. Her strong work ethic and stage presence consistently make her stand out.

She holds a Grade 8 in Intermediate. F, Intermediate, Advance F in ballet and a Gold ISTD certification in Modern Jazz Dance all with distinction , reflecting her strong technical foundation. Her achievements include first place in Modern Jazz Seniors at UDO Encore Cyprus (group category) as well as first place at the Middle East competition in 2025 accomplishments that highlight her dedication and competitive excellence.

Sotia also trains in contemporary, tap, hip-hop, commercial jazz, modern, ballet, and piano, showcasing her versatility across styles.

In 2024, she was awarded a dance scholarship to the Institute of the Arts in Barcelona (summer program) a wonderful recognition of her talent and commitment.

A true Potenzia spirit, Sotia is also actively involved in Summer School, bringing her positive energy and dedication to the community.

CHEF LOUIS

Drama. Burned fingers. Possibly flying utensils.
Marcos Nicolaides serves up Chef Louis with theatrical flair and delicious exaggeration. His performance is full of energy, physical comedy, and impeccable timing guaranteeing plenty of laughter and on-stage chaos.

Marcos previously appeared as ‘Abu’ in ‘Arabian Nights’ and continues to grow as a performer through his studies in musical theatre and drums.

A joyful presence in rehearsals, Marcos is known as the heart of the group, always upbeat, energetic, and ready to make others smile. He shares a playful dynamic with Carlotta, forming a lively and entertaining duo on stage.

As the leader of 34 little chefs, he proudly takes on the role of “head chef,” guiding the ensemble with confidence and fun.

MARIA PROUNTZOU

VOICE

Maria Prountzou is the Voice of Ariel, bringing the character’s heart to life through both movement and music. As a lead dancer, she expresses Ariel’s longing, courage, and curiosity with beautiful sensitivity, allowing the audience to feel every dream, doubt, and triumph along the way.

A member of the Potenzia Del Arte family since the age of 3, Maria has grown into a deeply dedicated and hardworking performer, often being the last to leave rehearsals. She trains in ballet, contemporary, and modern, with ballet holding a special place in her heart.

She holds Grade 8 in Ballet and is currently working at Advanced Foundation level, demonstrating her continued commitment to technical growth. She also holds a Gold ISTD certification in Modern Jazz Dance, reflecting her strong foundation and versatility.

Her achievements include first place in Modern Jazz Seniors at UDO Encore Cyprus (group category) and first place at the Middle East competition in 2025, highlighting her dedication and competitive excellence. She was also awarded a dance scholarship to the Institute of the Arts in Barcelona for the 2025 summer program, a wonderful recognition of her artistry and discipline.

A sweet full-circle moment: when Maria was younger, she played a crab in a past Potenzia musical theatre production. Seeing the little crabs in this show brought back fond memories and a wave of nostalgia.

Maria carries a gentle, expressive quality in her movement that makes her portrayal of Ariel’s voice both touching and memorable.

MARSIA SHIARLIS

Mala

Professional eye-roll. Claims she needs more space. Still the first to get emotional. Marsia trains in musical theatre, singing, and music technology, bringing creativity and versatility to the stage. Highly talented and always eager to grow, she also takes part in many extra activities at Potenzia, showing both commitment and passion for performing.

NICOLE STELIOU

Karina

Lives in a daydream. Expected a golden carriage. Accepts a dramatic entrance instead.

Nicole studies musical theatre, singing, guitar, and commercial jazz. Known for her hardworking spirit and strong talent, she approaches every rehearsal with dedication and brings a graceful stage presence to the royal family. She is also an essential helper during Potenzia’s Summer School, always ready to support, encourage, and bring positive energy to younger students.

Urchin

Only brother. Outnumbered daily. Still negotiating for a dog.

The playful spirit of the group, funny, charming, and endlessly adorable. Marios is a very talented student who studies guitar and musical theatre. Always prepared, always on time, and a joy to have around, he truly represents the heart of teamwork.

Perla

Hair always perfect. Energy always dramatic. Main character in her own mirror.

Phaedra performs comfortably in Greek, English, and French, showcasing strong musicality and expressive versatility. Her confidence and theatrical flair make Perla shine with elegance and personality.

CONSTANTINA PAPAVARNAVA

Arista

Knows the rules. Read the rules. Probably wrote extra rules.

Though she may seem shy at first, Constantina is one of Potenzia’s favourites. A true team player, she’s always ready to help and jumps in to cover any role mainly because she somehow knows them all! Her reliability and kindness make her an essential part of the cast.

Tamika

Says it like it is. Zero patience for nonsense. Secretly soft underneath.

Maria Eleni studies piano, singing, and musical theatre. This year marks her first major role, a part she wanted deeply and has worked hard to earn. Her determination and growing confidence bring fresh energy to the stage.

Andrina

Pure excitement. Waited her whole life for this sister moment. Would absolutely throw confetti in the palace.

Chara has been taking leading roles since she joined Potenzia, thanks to her natural talent and stage presence. She attends both musical theatre and singing lessons and is always eager to participate in extra activities, bringing passion and joy wherever she goes.

NATALIE CHRISTOFIDOU

DRUMMERS LEADER

Born into a musical family and raised within Potenzia, Natalie Christofidou began drumming at the age of 9, quickly discovering a lifelong passion for rhythm and performance. Alongside drums, she has studied piano, guitar, music theory, ensembles, Hip Hop, and Musical Theatre, developing into a versatile and well-rounded musician. Despite her broad training, the drums have always remained her greatest passion!

Natalie achieved her Grade 8 in Drums with Distinction at just 14 years old, and she was awarded her Diploma (DipISoM) with Distinction. In 2025, she also received a Diploma from the Hellenic Conservatory with Distinction, earning First Prize among all candidates, a recognition that reflects both her exceptional ability and dedication.

An experienced performer, Natalie has played with various bands and has participated in numerous concerts and festivals, including Fengaros Festival and Fengaros High, proudly representing Potenzia del Arte. A true leader within the Potenzia family, she actively supports younger students and contributes to Potenzia’s summer school.

Natalie performs as the Leader of the Drummers, a role that showcases her dynamic energy, musical versatility, and commanding stage presence. A true performer at heart, she moves effortlessly between styles, from jazz and rock to pop and beyond.

SIMONI DIAOURI

Confident and expressive, Simoni Diaouri brings elegance and strength to the stage with a refined performance quality. A dedicated student of Potenzia for many years, she trains in Contemporary, Modern, and Ballet. She holds Grade 8 in Ballet with High Distinction and Advanced Foundation with High Merit and is currently preparing for Advanced 1. She has also achieved all three ISTD Modern Jazz Awards all with Distinction, reflecting her strong technique and commitment to excellence.

She has represented Potenzia at UDO competitions with the school team and has also participated in numerous performances representing the school at various events. Her achievements include a first place in Modern Jazz Seniors at UDO Encore Cyprus 2025 as part of a group, as well as first place at the UDO Middle East Competition in 2025. In 2025, she was awarded a dance scholarship to the Institute of the Arts in Barcelona (summer program), a wonderful recognition of her talent and dedication.

She performs the lead role in Seahorses, a role that highlights her poise, artistry, and expressive presence on stage.

CONSTANTINA ANTONIOU

Dedicated and expressive, Constantina Antoniou has been part of the Potenzia family since the age of 3, growing into a committed and confident performer. She has achieved Grade 8 (Ballet) and is currently progressing through Intermediate level, reflecting her steady technical development and dedication to her training. Alongside ballet, she also trains in Contemporary, Tap, and Commercial Jazz, and has achieved all three ISTD Modern Jazz Awards with Distinction, demonstrating her versatility and love for different styles of dance.

She has represented Potenzia at UDO competitions with the school team and has also participated in numerous performances representing the school at various events. It is therefore no surprise that she has been chosen for the lead role in ‘Waves’, a role that reflects both her natural artistry and her beautiful connection to dance.

NEFELI DIAOURI

Dynamic and focused, Nefeli Diaouri combines strong technique with natural stage presence. A dedicated student of Potenzia for many years, she trains in Contemporary, Modern, and Ballet. She holds Grade 8 in Ballet with Distinction and Advanced Foundation with High Merit and is currently working towards Advanced 1 Level RAD Ballet exam. She has also completed all three ISTD Modern Jazz Awards with Distinction, reflecting her commitment and consistency in her training.

She has represented Potenzia at UDO competitions with the school team and has also participated in numerous performances representing the school at various events. Her achievements include a first place in Modern Jazz Seniors at UDO Encore Cyprus 2025 as part of a group, as well as first place at the UDO Middle East Competition in 2025. Energetic and dedicated, Chloe Georgiou has been part of the Potenzia family since the age of three, growing into a committed and expressive performer. She has achieved Grade 8 and completed all three ISTD Modern Jazz Awards and has represented Potenzia at UDO competitions with the school team. Her achievements include a first place in Modern Jazz Seniors at UDO Encore Cyprus 2025 as part of a group, as well as first place at the UDO Middle East Competition in 2025.

Versatile and expressive, Andreana Miltiade has trained at Potenzia since the age of three, developing across multiple performing arts disciplines. She has achieved Grade 8 in ballet RAD and completed all three ISTD Modern Jazz Awards, reflecting both her technical strength and dedication to her training. She also trains in Contemporary, further expanding her movement quality and artistic expression.

In addition to dance, she has studied Musical Theatre, Piano, and Voice, showcasing her strong artistic versatility and stage presence. She has represented Potenzia at UDO competitions with the school team and has also participated in numerous performances representing the school at various events. Her achievements include a first place in Modern Jazz Seniors at UDO Encore Cyprus 2025 as part of a group, as well as first place at the UDO Middle East Competition in 2025.

ANTRIANA CHARALAMPOUS

Dedicated and hardworking, Antriana Charalambous has been part of the Potenzia family since the age of three. She has achieved Grade 8 and progressed through Intermediate RAD exam, currently working at Advanced Foundation level, reflecting her continued dedication and steady development. Alongside her ballet training, she also attends Contemporary classes, further enriching her versatility and artistic expression.

Her journey reflects years of commitment, perseverance, and love for dance. Antriana performs as the leader of the Crabs, a role that highlights her determination, strength, and confident stage presence.

ELENI CONSTANTINIDOU

Committed and loyal to the Potenzia community, Eleni Constantinidou has been training at Potenzia since the age of three. She has achieved Grade 8 and progressed through Intermediate RAD exam, and is currently working at Advanced Foundation level, reflecting her continued dedication and steady development. She also trains in Contemporary, further enriching her artistry and versatility as a dancer.

Her journey reflects years of commitment, growth, and a genuine love for dance, making her a valued and inspiring member of the Potenzia family. Eleni performs as the leader of the Crabs, a role that highlights her reliability, strength, and confident presence on stage.

ANASTASIA MICHAEL

A true pillar of the Potenzia family, Anastasia Michael has been part of Potenzia for over 22 years. Known for her dedication, reliability, and leadership, she is Mrs Angela’s right hand and also a valued helper and assistant to Mrs Evi, making her an essential member of the Potenzia community. She holds Grade 8 and Advanced Foundation qualifications, reflecting her strong technical background and years of experience. She has completed all Modern Dance classes and continues to train in Contemporary, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to growth as a dancer.

Anastasia is also a teacher at Potenzia, working with the younger students and sharing her knowledge and love for dance with the next generation. She is currently training through the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) to become a certified ballet teacher. Her commitment, professionalism, and supportive nature make her a wonderful role model for all.
